First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tested a hand rehabilitation method that combines force control training with mirror visual feedback in 5 stroke patients. The goal was to see if this approach could improve hand function and brain activity. Participants used a special hand training system while watching a mirror reflection of their unaffected hand, and brain activity was measured with near-infrared spectroscopy. The study aimed to understand how this therapy might help restore hand movement after a stroke.
