First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested a new hand rehabilitation method for stroke patients that combines force control training with mirror visual feedback. Five stroke survivors participated, using a special hand training system while watching a mirror to create the illusion of movement in their affected hand. The goal was to see if this approach could improve hand strength, dexterity, and brain activity. Results are not yet available, but the study aims to develop a better way to help stroke patients regain hand function.
