Scientists hunt for early warning signs of crippling hand arthritis

NCT ID NCT03650673

Summary

This study aims to better understand early hand osteoarthritis by identifying which patients are most likely to experience rapid joint damage. Researchers will follow 150 patients with early-stage hand arthritis, using imaging techniques like ultrasound and MRI to track changes over time. The goal is to find early warning signs that predict which joints will worsen, potentially helping doctors intervene sooner.
