Summary
This study looks at the role of viruses (bacteriophages) in the gut of people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Researchers will collect stool and blood samples from 30 patients and 10 healthy donors to understand differences in gut viruses and bacteria. No treatments are given—this is an observational step toward developing future therapies using lab-grown bacteriophages.
