NCT ID NCT06588166
First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study aims to create a new, non-invasive stool test that looks at gut bacteria to detect colorectal cancer and advanced polyps. Researchers will collect stool samples from 1,006 people aged 50-74 who are part of a national screening program and have had a positive initial stool test. By analyzing the bacteria in the samples, they hope to develop a more accurate screening tool that could reduce unnecessary colonoscopies.
