First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at how the nerves connecting the gut and brain might be involved in Parkinson's disease. Researchers will compare people with Parkinson's, those at risk, and healthy volunteers. Participants give blood, stool, and saliva samples, plus undergo X-rays and a scope exam of the colon. The goal is to understand the gut-brain connection, not to test a treatment.
