First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a probiotic called Lactobacillus johnsonii to standard chemotherapy and immunotherapy can help control advanced lung, breast, or stomach cancers. About 156 adults with these cancers will be randomly assigned to receive either the probiotic or a placebo alongside their regular treatment. The goal is to see if the probiotic improves how long the cancer stays under control and reduces side effects.
