Gut bugs and building blocks: a new hope for beating hepatitis b?

NCT ID NCT07257562

Summary

This study is observing whether adding a specific gut bacteria (Bacteroides fragilis) and branched-chain amino acids to standard antiviral therapy helps people with chronic hepatitis B clear the virus. Researchers will compare the virus clearance rate in 40 patients receiving this supplement to a group receiving only standard antiviral drugs. The goal is to see if this combination can help the body fight off the hepatitis B infection more effectively.
