Scientists search mouth for best stem cells to regrow teeth
NCT ID NCT03570333
Summary
This study aimed to learn more about special cells in the gums that can grow into different dental tissues. Researchers collected small gum tissue samples from two areas in the roof of the mouth from seven patients already undergoing standard gum graft surgery. They compared these cells in the lab to see which location might be better for future dental repair treatments.
