Scientists probe Gum's hidden repair cells
NCT ID NCT03570333
Summary
This study aimed to learn more about special repair cells found in gum tissue. Researchers collected small gum samples from seven patients during routine dental graft surgery to compare cells from the front and back of the roof of the mouth. The goal was to understand which cells might be best for future treatments to regrow lost bone and tissue around teeth.
