Cash for health: can guaranteed income help control HIV after jail?

NCT ID NCT07115901

Summary

This study is testing whether giving guaranteed cash payments to people with HIV who are leaving jail helps them stay connected to medical care and keep their virus under control. Researchers will enroll 33 very low-income participants in San Francisco and randomly assign them to receive one large payment, smaller monthly payments, or let them choose their payment method. The goal is to see if this financial support reduces barriers to healthcare and improves HIV treatment outcomes.
