New shot may stop catheter clots without blood thinners

Summary

This study tests if a single dose of gruticibart can prevent blood clots that often form when a catheter is placed in a vein. About 90 adults getting a catheter will receive the drug and be monitored for clots and bleeding. The goal is to reduce pain and swelling while avoiding the need for blood thinners.
