Urine test could spot bladder cancer sooner in remote areas
NCT ID NCT06281691
First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether a simple urine test can help decide who needs a camera exam (cystoscopy) to check for bladder cancer. Researchers studied 127 adults in Greenland, where access to urology services is limited. The goal was to see if the urine test could accurately detect cancer, allowing some people to avoid unnecessary procedures and get diagnosed earlier.
