Could brighter lights ease Glaucoma's hidden toll on sleep and mood?

NCT ID NCT07364929

Summary

This study aims to understand how glaucoma, an eye disease, might affect more than just vision—specifically sleep, mood, alertness, and thinking skills. Researchers will compare 120 adults with glaucoma to healthy adults of similar age. They will test if damage to special light-sensing cells in the eye explains these issues and if exposure to safe, full-spectrum indoor lighting can help improve alertness and wellbeing.
