Summary
This study uses an anonymous survey to understand who teaches advanced gastrointestinal (GI) surgery to senior general surgery residents and whether there is interest in a specialized GI fellowship. It includes 260 fourth- and fifth-year residents from accredited U.S. programs. The goal is to identify training gaps and comfort levels with common and complex GI procedures.
