NCT ID NCT02595957

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at people who have a gene variant (called a secondary finding) found during genetic testing. Researchers want to learn how these variants affect health and how people understand and share their results. Up to 5,000 participants will complete surveys, phone interviews, and possibly a visit to the NIH for health checks. The goal is to improve how genetic results are communicated and used.
