First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This pilot study at Mayo Clinic looks at whether personalized education and genetic counseling can increase genetic testing in people who have a first-degree relative (parent, sibling, or child) with pancreatic cancer. About 50 participants with a family history of the disease will receive tailored information and expert counseling. The goal is to see if this approach helps more people understand their risk and follow national guidelines for early detection.
