DNA detective work: can genes explain childhood obesity?

NCT ID NCT07487584

Summary

This study aims to understand how useful genetic testing is for children with severe obesity that started before age 5. Researchers will review existing medical records and test results from about 500 children who were seen in specialist weight clinics. The goal is to find out how often these tests find a genetic cause and if certain symptoms, like developmental delays or extreme hunger, can help predict a positive genetic result.
