DNA detective work: can genes explain why some kids become obese before age 5?
NCT ID NCT07487584
Summary
This study aims to understand how useful genetic testing is for children with severe obesity that started very early in life. Researchers will review the medical records of about 500 children who already had genetic tests through NHS specialist clinics. The goal is to see how often these tests find a genetic cause and whether certain symptoms, like developmental delays or extreme hunger, can help predict a positive genetic result.
