Scientists hunt for the genetic roots of debilitating brain injury fatigue
NCT ID NCT04548180
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some people develop severe fatigue and cognitive problems after a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Researchers used machine learning and genetic analysis on data from 68 participants to look for common genetic markers linked to these symptoms. The goal was to find a way to identify people who might be more susceptible to this condition, not to test a new treatment.
