Can a DNA score help women decide on breast cancer prevention?

NCT ID NCT04474834

Summary

This study aims to see if providing women at high risk for breast cancer with a personalized genetic risk score helps them make decisions about taking preventive medication. Researchers will follow over 700 women for 10 years to see if the score influences their choices and whether they stick with their chosen prevention plan. The study does not test a treatment, but rather observes how this extra information affects decision-making.
