Garlic gel takes on root canal infection – a natural alternative?

NCT ID NCT07289971

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study compares garlic gel to the standard medicine (calcium hydroxide) placed inside a tooth during root canal treatment. Researchers want to see if garlic can reduce pain, swelling, and infection just as well, but with fewer side effects and lower cost. About 96 adults with infected permanent teeth will take part.
