New brain scan methods aim to unmask hidden tumor activity

NCT ID NCT06319027

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at whether advanced imaging methods can give more accurate information about tumor activity in people with newly diagnosed glioblastoma. Standard MRI scans can be confusing because changes after treatment may look like tumor growth but actually be harmless. The study will use special MRI, PET, and MR spectroscopy to help doctors tell the difference. About 100 adults with newly diagnosed glioblastoma will participate.
