New study aims to protect older breast cancer patients from hidden drug risks

NCT ID NCT07273357

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study follows 200 breast cancer patients aged 70 and older who are starting a combination of CDK4/6 inhibitors and hormone therapy after surgery. Researchers want to see if simple geriatric screening tests can predict who will have side effects or a drop in quality of life. The goal is to help doctors tailor treatment for older adults, who are often left out of drug trials.
