Summary
This study tested a procedure called full pulpotomy (removing only the infected pulp inside the tooth crown) in 58 adults with severe toothache. It compared success in teeth with and without an infection at the root tip (apical periodontitis), using an AI tool to help detect the infection on X-rays. The goal was to see if this less-invasive treatment works as well as a full root canal, especially when infection is present.
