Whole-Body MRI may spot hidden breast cancer spread sooner

NCT ID NCT06328465

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether a type of whole-body MRI (DWB-MRI) can detect the return or spread of breast cancer earlier than standard scans. Researchers will follow 145 people with high-risk breast cancer (HER2+ or triple-negative) for 5 years to see if early detection leads to better survival. The goal is to learn if this imaging tool improves outcomes, not to provide a cure or treatment.
