Doctors prescribe groceries to fight food insecurity
NCT ID NCT06263751
Summary
This study tested two ways to help food-insecure patients with diet-related health risks get more fruits and vegetables. 126 adults who screened positive for food insecurity received either a grocery store credit or a box of produce delivered to their home. Researchers compared which method worked better for improving diet and food security, and studied how to make such programs sustainable.
