Doctors prescribe groceries: which method works best?
NCT ID NCT06263751
Summary
This study tested two ways to help people who struggle to afford healthy food. Doctors 'prescribed' fruits and vegetables to 126 adults with low incomes, food insecurity, and diet-related health risks. The study compared whether giving people grocery store credit or delivering boxes of fresh produce was more effective at improving their diet and food security.
