Can free groceries be the prescription for health?
NCT ID NCT06784310
Summary
This study tested whether providing healthy food resources could help families manage chronic health conditions. Researchers gave medically tailored meals, grocery vouchers, or both to low-income families where an adult had diabetes or high blood pressure and a child had weight concerns. They measured changes in weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, and family stress to see if better food access improves health.
