Glowing dots could help surgeons spot hidden liver cancer

Summary

This study tests a new imaging probe that makes liver cancer cells glow when viewed with a special camera. Researchers will apply the probe to liver tissue removed during surgery and check if it can accurately show where the cancer ends. The goal is to help surgeons remove all cancer while saving healthy tissue. About 20 people with liver cancer who are scheduled for surgery will take part.
