New chemo combo before surgery may boost cure rates for advanced rectal cancer

Summary
This study looks at whether giving a strong chemotherapy combination called FOLFIRINOX before surgery can help more people with mid or low rectal cancer that has spread to the liver have successful removal of all tumors. About 550 adults will take part. The main goal is to see how many people are cancer-free 18 months after starting treatment.
