Gut feeling: which diet soothes IBS best?

NCT ID NCT07000227

First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at how three different diets—low FODMAP, gentle FODMAP, and standard dietary advice—affect gut bacteria, gut barrier function, and symptoms in people with functional gastrointestinal disorders like IBS and functional dyspepsia. About 60 adults will follow one of these diets for two weeks and provide stool and blood samples. The goal is to find out which diet works best for Malaysian patients.
