Summary
This early study tests whether MRI-guided focused ultrasound can safely treat severe facial pain (trigeminal neuralgia) that hasn't responded to medication. Ten adults with chronic pain will receive a precise ultrasound beam to a small brain area involved in pain. The goal is to see if this non-invasive procedure reduces pain and has acceptable side effects.
