First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tests a special helmet that uses focused ultrasound to temporarily open the blood-brain barrier in people with glioblastoma, a severe brain cancer. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and can help standard chemotherapy reach the tumor more effectively. Ten adults who have already completed initial treatment will receive the ultrasound procedure alongside their ongoing chemo.
