Summary
This early-stage study tests whether focused ultrasound can safely open the blood-brain barrier in children with progressive diffuse midline glioma (DMG), a rare and aggressive brain tumor. The goal is to allow more of the chemotherapy drug etoposide to reach the tumor while reducing side effects. Ten children aged 4 to 21 will receive the treatment, and researchers will monitor safety and whether the barrier opens successfully.
