NCT ID NCT05762419

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether a non-invasive ultrasound technique can temporarily open the blood-brain barrier in children with progressive diffuse midline glioma (DMG), a rare and aggressive brain tumor. The goal is to let more of the oral chemotherapy drug etoposide reach the tumor while reducing side effects. Ten children aged 4–21 will be enrolled to check safety and feasibility.
