Poop pills may soothe chemo gut woes in advanced cancer patients

Summary

This study looks at whether fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) can reduce or prevent stomach and bowel problems caused by chemotherapy in people with advanced gastrointestinal cancers. About 90 adults with stage IV cancer who are about to start their 4th round of chemo will receive FMT. Researchers will track how much their nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea improve.
