New training method could make soccer players faster on the field

Summary

This study looked at whether a special type of strength training (flywheel) helps soccer players change direction faster than traditional weight training. Twenty-two elite male soccer players did one of the two training types twice a week for 8 weeks. The goal was to see which training improved their agility and sprinting the most.
