Throat spray may soothe Post-Surgery pain, study finds

Summary

This study tests if a numbing spray (flurbiprofen) placed on a breathing tube can reduce sore throat and hoarseness after chest surgery. About 58 adults having planned chest surgery will receive either the active spray or a placebo. Researchers will check pain and voice changes at several times up to 48 hours after surgery.
