Glowing dye could light up lung cancer during exams

NCT ID NCT06809946

Summary

This study is testing whether a special fluorescent dye can help doctors see lung cancer more clearly during a standard lung exam called a bronchoscopy. The dye is designed to stick to cancer cells and glow under special light, potentially making suspicious spots easier to identify and biopsy. Researchers will test the dye's safety and effectiveness in 20 patients with lung lesions suspected to be cancer.
