Glowing tumors: fluorescent dye could help surgeons cut cancer more accurately

Summary
This Danish study is testing whether a fluorescent dye can help surgeons see sarcoma tumor edges better during surgery. The goal is to remove more of the cancerous tissue in the first operation, reducing the need for follow-up surgeries. About 90 adults with intermediate-to-high grade sarcoma of the limbs or trunk wall will have surgery guided by the glowing dye, and their results will be compared to past patients who had standard surgery.
