New fluid plan tested for critically ill liver patients
NCT ID NCT06525623
Summary
This study is testing two different approaches for giving intravenous fluids to hospitalized patients with liver cirrhosis who develop sudden kidney injury. Researchers want to see if a personalized fluid guidance algorithm is safe, effective, and practical compared to the standard albumin treatment. About 50 adult patients will be randomly assigned to have their medical team follow either the new algorithm or the standard approach, and their outcomes will be tracked for 90 days.
