Summary

This study tested a new seasonal flu vaccine made using a different manufacturing method (Vero cells) to see if it was as effective and safe as a standard egg-based flu shot. Over 3,200 adults aged 50 and older received one injection and were monitored for their immune response and any side effects for six months. The goal was to see if this new vaccine could protect people just as well as the existing one.
