Summary

This study tested a new device called FLEX-1 in 17 adults with advanced chronic kidney disease who need hemodialysis. The device is used to create a special connection between an artery and a vein (called an arteriovenous fistula) to make dialysis easier. The main goal was to see if the device is safe and works well for long-term dialysis treatment.
