Scientists scan fingertips to build better robot hands
NCT ID NCT03072420
Summary
This study aimed to understand how human fingertips bend and change shape when pressed or pushed sideways. Researchers used MRI scans on eight healthy volunteers to measure these tiny movements. The data will help create more realistic computer models of fingers, which could improve the design of robotic hands and prosthetic limbs.
