Soccer warm-up may shield young volleyball players from injury
NCT ID NCT07733648
First seen Jul 29, 2026 · Last updated Jul 30, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial investigates whether the FIFA 11+ exercise program, originally designed for soccer, can lower injury rates and fear of reinjury in female volleyball players aged 14 to 18. Participants will follow their normal training for 8 weeks, then switch to the FIFA 11+ program for another 8 weeks. Researchers will track injuries, anxiety about getting hurt again, and measures of physical performance like jump height and balance.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- FIFA 11+ exercise program
- What this could lead to
- If effective, this program could become a standard warm-up to prevent injuries in young female volleyball players.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study with only 25 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The program is designed for soccer and may need adjustments for volleyball.
