First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at whether teaching elite volleyball players about how pain works can help them manage chronic shoulder pain. Forty players took part, with half receiving six weeks of pain education sessions while continuing normal training. The goal was to see if this approach could lower pain intensity, improve pain knowledge, and reduce negative thoughts about pain.
