Could PCOS raise your risk of fibromyalgia? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07189247

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at how often fibromyalgia (a condition causing widespread pain) occurs in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Researchers will compare 140 women with PCOS to healthy women of the same age. They will measure pain, mood, and insulin resistance to see if there are connections. The goal is to better understand these conditions, not to test a new treatment.
