Heart test revolution: could a simple CT scan replace risky invasive procedures?

NCT ID NCT06790836

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a non-invasive CT scan (FFR CT) can accurately measure blood flow in the heart's arteries, compared to the standard invasive test. Researchers will review data from 500 adults with suspected coronary artery disease to see how well the CT scan works across different ethnic groups. If proven accurate, FFR CT could reduce the need for invasive procedures, lowering risks and healthcare costs.
