First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study is testing a procedure called FETO for babies with a severe form of left congenital diaphragmatic hernia, where the diaphragm has a hole and the liver is in the chest. The procedure involves placing a small balloon in the baby's windpipe to help the lungs grow before birth. Researchers want to see if it is safe and effective for 10 pregnant women carrying babies with this condition.
